The Anchoress - derides the "Republican Base"

Miss Anchoress --
I read your very eloquent and moving post -

Thank you for reminding everyone of us - what we love best about President Bush.

However, Miss Anchoress, do you really believe that the "Far Right - who have received Good" from President Bush; should therefore "indulge him" when he acts in defiance of the LAW and his Oath of Office.

Methinks perhaps the Anchoress needs to lay off the grog.

We remember the "Good" which has been wrought for our nation. We also remember well the "Evil" that has been wrought against our nation.

President Bush has stated time and again - that "the protection of the American People are his primary concern".

So - What !?!? - Do nothing to secure our borders ?

Set aside the "terrorists" for a moment. Let's talk about gangs. Gangs such as MS-13, et al... Do we really want to continue to import the lawlessness and corruption that pervade Mexico, Central America and South America ?

The situation is already way out of hand as it is. However, it is not yet quite beyond our ability to correct. But we must act quickly, with conviction and be resolute and determined to see the job thru to the end.

You stated that the "base" has abondoned President Bush. YOU - are quite wrong.

"The BASE" - is "The Base" - because it is "The BASE" that keep the airheads in the party from floating off to the Left and making an ass of themselves. Unfortunately, we are not always successful in these, our un-appreciated endeavors.

It is us "gwarrking cracker-obsessed right-wing parrots" that have stood by President Bush and the Republican party - thru good times and bad. And we are still standing. Albeit, we are also flapping our colorful plumage, hopping up and down - and yes - "Gwarrking" as loudly as possible; in our efforts to make the President and the rest of our elected officials understand that we do not want them to just give our country away willy-nilly, simply because they dont have
the balls to do the job they were elected to do. The job that they swore to do.

Is it really asking too much of them for us to simply expect them to do their DAMN JOBS !!!??!!??!!

Must we continually here the litany of what a "difficult problem this is" and that they are "grappling" with a "comprehensive reform package".
(and everyone knows that "comprehensive = Amnesty & $$$$)

Why not just enforce the damn laws we currently have and build a #$*@!&%! Wall ??!!??!!

The "BASE" has not abandoned President Bush. Situations sometimes get to a point where "Good Men" and "Good Women" must stand up and be counted. We have had enough of the duplicity of politicians and quite frankly the stupidity of politicians. From both the Left
and the Right.

George Bush is different among politicians - in that he indeed can and does know how to lead. However - that doesn't mean he cant be wrong about something - and he damn well better open his eyes and ears and listen up.

The Minutemen organized themselves to do the job that the American Government has refused to do for 40+ years.

President Bush - threw away a great opportunity to empower American Citizens to Volunteer to take back our country.

Instead, President Bush turned on these American Patriots and LABELED them

Note: The term Vigilante - in its purist form - is not a bad thing.

However, the term "Vigilante" as applied by President Bush - left no doubt that the meaning he invoked was "Vigilante" in its worst form.

Instead of applauding these American Patriots for their can-do spirit and their pro-active endeavors...

Instead of encouraging ALL American Citizens to call their senators and congress-persons - to let them know it was high-time they uphold their oaths and do their jobs.

Instead of - encouraging Americans to "Volunteer" and sign up to help The Minutemen...

President Bush - "an American Patriot" - turned on his fellow countrymen.

I suppose President Bush would rather we continue to wait for the "Government" to do what they have continually ignored and lately flat out refused refused to do.

I suppose You, President Bush, et al - would prefer that us "gwarrking parrots" just shut-up, toe-the line and wait for the Katrina Buses to whisk us away.

I suppose you think our Founding Fathers should have done the same.

Fact of the matter is - by doing nothing to stop the flow of illegal aliens and doing nothing to secure our borders; President Bush has violated his Oath of Office:"I, George Walker Bush, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the president of the United States and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God,"

In fact - the President - by his broadcast and recorded statements - and by his lack of action is in violation of US LAW. So too, are all of our state and local officials who stand by and do nothing. In particular those political trolls that call their cities - "Sanctuary Cities".

I encourage each and everyone of you to read and understand - 1907 Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a) Offenses.Which states: Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a)defines several distinct offenses related to aliens.Subsection 1324(a)(1)(i)-(v) prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts.

The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA), enacted on September 30, 1996, added a new - 8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(3)(A) which makes it an offense for any person, during any12-month period, to knowingly hire at least 10 individuals with actual knowledge that these individuals are unauthorized aliens.See this Manual at 1908 (unlawful employment of aliens).

Unit of Prosecution --
With regard to offenses defined in subsections 1324(a)(1)(A)(i)-(v), (alien smuggling, domestic transporting, harboring, encouraging/inducing, or conspiracy/aiding or abetting) each alien with respect to whom a violation occurs constitutes a unit of prosecution. Prior to enactment of the IIRIRA, the unit of prosecution for violations of 8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(2) was each transaction, regardless of the number of aliens involved. However, the unit of prosecution is now based on each alien in respect to whom a violation occurs.

Knowledge --
